There are quite a lot of things that I have learnt from doing this video. One thing is that when filming make sure that you note down the shot numbers that you have done. Another thing that I learnt was that make sure that you look at every little detail when shooting a shot, as I found that in one of the shots, we are shooting it from the other angle then what it was suppose to be. The story board that we did at the very start I thought was very useful, and helped a lot when editing it in Premiere Pro.
A major thing that I found helped me a lot was numbering the shots, so that when you import them into Premiere Pro you can just change the number to the shot type rather than having to look through them all. Another thing that I found was a major part in making a good video is that you have to make sure that you have good props and costumes. I also think that it is quite important to plan all of the locations before you start filming. I also found it useful on the story board writing the lyrics for each shot, this made it a lot easier to lip sync it. I found that giving people jobs such as director, props, costumes and cinematographer was very useful as you weren't relying on one person to do it all. The lip syncing wasn't too bad but I think that it needs to be a lot better for next year.

A2 Media Studies Lip-Sync Exercise
The task was to get into groups and film ourselves singing a song (chosen from a list) so that we can then lip-sync it to the actual voice from the song. We had to delete our singing to then hear the voice who actually sings the song to make it look like we are singing.
I learnt that the main key to lip-syncing is the timing. I also learnt that it is a lot easier to lip-sync with a medium close then far away, as when we all sang I found it very hard to get the timing of it correct. Another thing that I learnt was that more then two people in the frame was hard to lip-sync, as if one person is out then it is difficult to find which one to sync. I also learnt that the editing needs to be a lot more smoother, and trying to take it in one edit will be a lot easier. I have also learnt how to 'Unlink' our voices to the clip and them import the original song. The other thing that I learnt was how to transform it into a FLV which can then be uploaded onto YouTube. I also found it easier to sing when playing the music from an IPod or computer so that you can keep in time with the song.

Evaluation question 6
Here is a power point presentation about all the different technologies that I have used throughout this task.

Question 5
Here I have videoed my Mum and Sister answering some questions about my magazine. My Mum is aged 42 and my Sister is 17. The questions that I have asked them are: Do you like my magazine front cover? Do you like the colours that I have used? Do you like the font style that I have used? Overall, what do or don't you like about my magazine?
Question 4
Who would be the audience for your media product?
My audience is mainly aimed at females, but could also be for males. They are aged between 16-18. On the psychographics scale they would most likely be individualists, and people who are likely to step out of the box. They could also be slightly Utopians. On the Jicnars scale I would say that my audience would be either C1 or C2 but an Opera magazine would normally be read by people who are probably more like A or B.

Audience focus group
I have shown both my front cover and double page spread to my group. They really liked the front cover and thought that the colours went very well. They also liked the font that I used for the title.
They all also liked my double page spread, they really liked the layout that I had done, and the way that I had a thin orange border around the edge, which matches the colour of the title. Another thing that they liked was the way that I have used a bigger letter at the start of each question.

Time Management update
I have got my front cover finished, and my double page spread. All that is left to do now is the contents page which I have started. I also need to read through my writing on the double page spread to make sure that it all makes sense.

Time Management update
I am actually ahead of what I have put on my timeline as I have already finished my Front cover, put I still need to show my audience focus group to see what they think of it. So I have now started my contents page which is good because I am further ahead then what I thought I would be.
