Appealing to my Target Audience

Today I am figuring out what is appealing to my target audience.

Model- Male, happy facial expression, casual clothes, holding some folders.
Layout- Masthead at the top, barcode at bottom right, price and date just underneath the masthead, main picture of the model (behind the text), background of a library where the picture will be taken.
Colours- using contrasting colours for text.
Masthead- WSF times.

My target audience

Today I have figured out my target audience. 

They will be aspirers and main streamers who rate E on the jicnar scale however they will be A level college students so there culture and lifestyle will be more of a C1 on the scale. They will be 16-19 years old and of both genders they will be decision pending on the life stage categories. They will listen to modern music the type that would appear in the top 40 they will also watch E4 and comedy central instead of BBC news and ITV1. They prefer modern Hollywood blockbusters instead of old classics (Florence of Arabia). They will be studying sociology, psychology, critical thinking and health and care.

Preliminary Task

Hi, Iam Chloe, this is my media task, and this is what i have to do:

Preliminary exercise: using DTP and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally candidates must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of DTP.
